By the time you’ve racked up those points you probably would have paid this already!Eco-friendly airplane catapults in 2050Airbus’s latest move to get greener involves catapulting planes into the sky. Not Dennis the Menace style, but with rolling platforms to tow planes along the runway, similar to the way you’d launch a jet fighter from an aircraft carrier. Airbus engineers hope this will reduce the amount of power needed from the aircraft’s engine during take-off, leading to smaller engines and therefore less fuel consumption. According to Airbus, ‘assisted take-off’ should hit the runways by 2050.Romantic hideout for RoyalsIt looks like Harry wasn’t the only member of the Royal family to jet off for some R&R this summer.
